Alex D'Ambrosio is a Connecticut based musician and songwriter. Picking up the guitar in 2nd grade, his walk with music started young. He quickly picked up an ability to play and established deeper sensibilities about music. He became a devout fan of listening to albums from start to finish. Alex's favorite albums, ranging from 90s alternative groups like Nine Inch Nails and The Smashing Pumpkins to the instrumental electronic soundtracks of Kelly Bailey and Dave Porter, inspired him to begin writing and recording his own material in high school. Starting out on a humble ZOOM R8 handheld recorder and Cubase 5, he recognized the importance of production as a creative and sought to wield that side of the process to his advantage.

In 2015, he pursued a Bachelor's in Music and Audio Production at Western Connecticut State University. During his time there, he began to craft a sound that would update the rock and alternative songwriting formulas he felt were outdated, but keep the fluidity and character of the music that he loved so much. He listened to everything outside of his comfort zone, from indie rock, jazz records of the 50s and 60s, trap music, mainstream pop, 90s boom bap, to diverse local acts in search of the difference he sought to adhere to in his sound. He graduated in 2019.

Outside of college, he continued his search for the sound he envisioned. And after many years of experimentation, he released his debut album, Never Doing That Again, on January 6, 2023. Not a week later, he released NDTA 2.0: The Helix Mixes, a collection of 14 outtakes, B-Sides, remixes and multiple versions of existing songs as a companion album to Never Doing That Again

He is currently working on his next album.
